The artist explores memories and desires inscribed in the body, as well as invisible inner sensations, through a range of media including drawing, performance, and sculpture, revealing the body’s inner flesh from within its closed boundaries and using exposure as a means to form relationships with the world; in this sense, the artist’s interest in “connection” extends beyond empathy or digitally mediated networks, instead arising in moments when the body actively intervenes in and engages with its surrounding environment in physical space, where it functions as a catalyst for encounter and a mediator that binds together heterogeneous elements.
