Sojeong Park believes that sensation is the most fundamental language through which we understand the world. Rather than pursuing visual completion, her work reveals the “structures of sensation”—touch, pressure, fluidity, vibration—sculpturally. Viewing her works as sensory architectures and mediators between body and world, she traces the subtle path through which sensation becomes perception.

박소정은 감각이 세계를 이해하는 가장 원초적인 언어라고 믿는다. 작가는 시각적 완결성을 추구하는 대신, 촉각·압력·유동성·진동 같은 ‘감각의 구조’를 조형적으로 드러내는 시도를 한다. 또한 작품들이 단지 물체가 아닌, 감각의 구조물이자 몸과 세계가 서로 영향을 주고받는 매개체가 될 수 있다고 믿는다. 무엇이 어떤 순서로 감각이 인식으로 변하는지 작가는 그 미세한 경로를 작품 속에서 되짚어본다. 이를 통해 이러한 감각의 층위를 드러내고, 우리가 익숙하게 지나치는 촉각적·신체적 경험들을 새로운 방식으로 재구성한다.
